Located on a private estate in Perthshire, one of the most beautiful areas of the Scottish Highlands, these lodges let you truly immerse yourself in your scenic surroundings and enjoy everything Scotland has to offer.

Activity Programme

On-site activity organisers In Your Element arrange all sorts of exciting experiences to try out, including canoeing or water-walking on Loch Tay as well as activities on dry land like archery, gorge walking and Segway trekking.

Bistro Restaurant

You needn’t go hungry during a stay at Loch Tay Highland Lodges, with an on-site Italian restaurant, the Bistro, offering delicious food from an extensive menu, complete with superb views of the loch. Children are welcome.

Fishing on the loch

Loch Tay is fantastic for a fishing holiday, with boats for hire from mid-January until October’s end. Catch salmon, sea trout, brown trout or rainbow trout, or try coarse fishing for pike, perch, roach, and grayling.

Other Amenities

There’s plenty of other things to do on site, with a putting green and disc golf course that all ages can enjoy, as well as a playground for little ones. A fire pit and BBQ area is also available for groups to hire.

Things to Try

Ben Lawers National Nature Reserve

Based around one of Scotland’s tallest Munros, the Ben Lawers National Nature Reserve is a spectacular place to spend some time whether you plan on hiking to the summit, following the fascinating Kiltyrie Hidden History Trail, keeping an eye out for rare wildlife and plants, or just enjoying the scenery.

McQueen Gin

Enjoy a glimpse behind the scenes at a gin manufacturer with a visit to McQueen Gin’s Trossachs Distillery. Take a guided tour around the production facility, learn how the gin is produced, and get the chance to sample the end product. Tours run weekdays at 2:30pm – be sure to book in advance.

Auchingarrich

There’s animals of all kinds to meet and plenty of fun for all the family at Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre. 40 different species of creature live here, from familiar livestock to more unusual and exotic wildlife. There are enthralling animal talks, small animal handling, and some fun play areas for the kids.

Killin Golf Club

Just a few miles from Loch Tay Highland Lodges, you’ll find Killin Golf Club, which is often described as the most beautiful 9-hole golf course Scotland has to offer. Keen golfers shouldn’t miss their chance to enjoy a relaxing round of golf here among the picturesque Highland Perthshire scenery.

There are plenty of fantastic pubs and restaurants dotted around the countryside here. Try the Courie Inn or the Falls of Dochart Inn in nearby Killin for delicious meals, refreshing drinks, and a welcoming ambience, but be sure to explore for yourself too and see what you can discover.

For Attractions

The market town of Aberfeldy is around a half-hour drive away and makes a good place to spend some time. Visit Dewar's Aberfeldy Distillery, explore the heritage of the area by seeing Castle Menzies and the Black Watch Monument, or visit the café, bookshop and gift shop at the Watermill.
