A region rich with heritage, music and stories, North Wales is a must-visit destination.

North Wales is a holidaymaker’s heaven, known for its lush green countryside, stunning mountains, magnificent coastline and beautiful holiday cottages. Explore miles of unspoiled beaches and visit the countless number of attractions and amusements. One of the best ways to experience the Welsh coastal scenery is by foot on the Wales Coastal Path. The path leads through quaint villages, up soaring cliffs, past beautiful beaches and covers the entire country. The coast is ideal for practising water sports such as kayaking, windsurfing and sailing. Our Llyn Peninsula Cottages look out onto Nefyn Bay, a two-mile stretch of sandy beach with excellent conditions for wind or kite surfing.

The mountains of North Wales also attract lots of visitors to the area. Mount Snowdon and the Snowdonia National Park entice plenty of climbers, hikers and nature enthusiasts looking for adventure. However, if you’re not quite in the mood for climbing a mountain, a great way to see Mount Snowdon is to take the Snowdon Mountain Railway. The train travels all the way up to the summit, into the clouds, where you can experience spectacular panoramic views.

Things To Do in North Wales

North Wales has plenty of attractions to visit, including historic gems such as Boldelwyddan Castle and Erddig House. One of the most popular historic attractions in the region is Penryn Castle, a Norman castle with a fantastic art collection and a railway museum. One of the great things about Penryn Castle is that the National Trust runs a packed schedule of events. From activities such as tennis tasters and yoga in the gardens through to castle fun days, there is always something going on, particularly in the summer.

The Welsh Mountain Zoo is another great family day out. Come face to face with the animal kingdom and see all manner of creatures including chimpanzees, snow leopards and red pandas. The Jungle Adventureland playground is great fun for children.

Top Tip: To avoid the crowds try visiting on a weekday. If your group is larger than 15 people opt for group entry for cheaper ticket prices.
