Things to Try

Forest of Bowland

Bowland Forest Holiday Park is less than a mile from the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a vast expanse of soaring hills, scenic valleys and peat moorland. Rich with historic sites, superb walking routes, and unspoilt landscapes, this place is well worth spending a day or two exploring.

Yorkshire Dales

The Yorkshire Dales National Park consists of thousands of square miles of striking natural scenery including moorland, hills, and valleys, with countless charming villages throughout. Head to nearby Malham to visit the imposing Malham Cove and Gordale Scar, and the charming Janet’s Foss waterfall.

Bolton Abbey

With 30,000 acres of beautiful grounds to discover along 80 miles of footpaths, Bolton Abbey makes a great place for a day out for all the family to enjoy. Walk alongside the River Wharfe, visit the ruins of a 12th-century priory church, or see what activities and events might be happening when you visit.

The nearby market town of Skipton is known as the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, but is well worth a visit in itself. Step into the past with a visit to the 900-year-old Skipton Castle, explore the historic cobbled High Street and Victorian-themed shopping arcade, or just take a walk and see what you find.

Create Incredible Memories

For Food and Drink

Beyond the fantastic Crowtrees Inn on the park, a range of great food options can be found in Skipton, including The Railway gastropub, French eatery Le Caveau, and Indian restaurant Musafir. Of course, there are countless traditional Yorkshire pubs and cafés dotted throughout the Dales, too.

For Attractions

Travel through the Yorkshire scenery in style with a nostalgic trip on a steam train, thanks to this traditional railway which runs from Embsay Station to Bolton Abbey Station. Enjoy a trip on the delightful Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway, which also runs a variety of special seasonal events.

For Activities

Just 30 miles from Bowland Forest Holiday Park is the Lake District National Park, another perfect place for walking, cycling and sightseeing, as well as getting out on the water on its famous lakes. Windermere, Coniston, Ullswater, and Derwent Water all have their own watersports centres and boat hire available.
