We offer a range of inviting accommodation at Rawcliffe House Farm, set within a number of beautifully converted 18th century farm buildings which only add to the rural ambience. With spacious cottages which can sleep up to 7 guests and superb studio rooms offering compact, comfortable accommodation, you’re sure to find something to suit your needs for a self-catering break in Yorkshire.

North York Moors

The endless expanse of the North York Moors is yours to explore during a stay here. Take a hike or ride a bike across this rugged terrain, particularly noted for its striking heather moorland scenery.

Spectacular views

The views across the Yorkshire’s countryside are unrivalled, and it’s located in a recognised dark sky area, where the stars can be seen clearly due to lack of light pollution. Stargazing equipment can be hired for £7.50 per night.

Room to relax

If you’d like to enjoy the spectacular surroundings without going far, take advantage of the south-facing courtyard and the garden and BBQ area, both with plenty of outdoor furniture. There’s also a kids’ play area.

Animal magic

Watch the local wildlife by hiring a spotting scope, binoculars and nature books for £4.50 per day (do book ahead). Or meet the goats, ducks and hens on the farm, and even feed them (by prior arrangement).

Convenient amenities

To help with walking and cycling holidays, there are on-site facilities such as a drying room for wet coats and muddy boots, and bike storage with basic tools where you can even rent a bike (pre-arrangement only).

North Yorkshire Moors Railway

See the scenery of the moors in style and comfort with a ride on a classic steam train along the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Hop on board at Pickering Station, less than a 15-minute drive from Rawcliffe House Farm, and enjoy a ride as far as the seaside town of Whitby.

Go Ape Dalby

Take a trip to Dalby Forest for a day of adventurous thrills and spills at Go Ape! The Great Yorkshire Forest is the perfect environment to tackle high-ropes courses, ziplining, and forest Segway riding, all adding up to an exciting experience that the whole family will never forget.

Immerse yourself in history with a visit to Eden Camp Modern History Theme Museum, an award-winning recreation of what life was like during World War II, both at home and on the front line. It’s even based within the buildings and grounds of a real WWII prisoner-of-war camp.
