Lake District

Lancaster Canal Waterside Accommodation is an ideal home base from which to discover the spectacular landscapes and magnificent waters of the Lake District National Park, with 16 lakes to visit as well as Scafell Pike, England’s tallest mountain, and a variety of incredible landmarks, attractions, and villages to stop off at along the way.

Yorkshire Dales

The Yorkshire Dales National Park covers thousands of square miles’ worth of rugged, unspoilt beauty, with mysterious moors, scenic hills and valleys, and countless charming villages dotted throughout. This romantic destination is rich with fascinating history and wild nature, ideal for walking, cycling, and exploring.

Beyond the two nearby national parks, there are a number of Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty close at hand. You’re just half a mile from the Arnside and Silverdale AONB, famed for its wildlife and with multiple nature reserves, and it’s also just a ten-minute drive to the gorgeous Forest of Bowland.

Step into history with a visit to Sizergh Castle and Garden, with a Grade I listed stately home home partially dating back to the fourteenth or fifteenth century, as well as a beautiful garden, all set within 1,600 acres of grounds which include a limestone pasture, orchards, and gorgeous woodland.
