Things to Try
Offering family fun for all ages, Gulliver's Kingdom theme park is perfect for a day out with the kids, with a range of rides and attractions for everyone to enjoy, as well as spectacular views. Ride the exciting log flume, head up high on the Crows Nest Quest, and much more!
Peak Rail Heritage Railway
With steam and heritage diesel services running from the station in nearby Matlock, Peak Rail is a charmingly nostalgic way to journey through the Derbyshire scenery. Running along 4 miles of track all the way to Rowsley South Station, a range of special experiences and events are also available.
Heights of Abraham
This stunning country park is set in 60 acres of woodland and has some superb show caverns, as well as striking views thanks to its unique location. Reached by cable car, it boasts a spectacular hilltop vantage point above a plunging limestone gorge, making for an unforgettable day out.
This stately home is famous for its 105 acres of gardens, replete with amazing sculptures, a range of plants, and more besides. The 16th-century house itself also contains a plethora of heritage and art, as well as hosting a variety of events throughout the year - be sure to check what's going on!

A pub with a restaurant can be found within walking distance of Peak District Accommodation, and the village of Two Dales, just 2 miles away, is also an excellent place to visit to find a range of delicious food options, plus you can explore the towns and villages nearby to find something to your taste.
There are all kinds of things to do nearby, Ride vintage trams and explore the museum at Crich Tramway Village, tour incredible underground caverns at Blue John Cavern or Pooles Cavern & Country Park, or let the kids meet lovely animals, including ducks, llamas, and rabbits, at Matlock Farm Park.
The vast Peak District National Park spans 555 square miles of striking landscape dotted with incredible views and perfect for exploring on foot or by bicycle, with many trails crisscrossing it. Mostly in Derbyshire, the national park covers parts of five other counties too - there's so much to see.
