Things to Try
Windermere
Newby Bridge Country Caravan Park boasts a prime location just a couple of miles from the southern end of Windermere, England’s largest body of water. Make the most of your time here with a relaxing cruise where you can soak up the ambience and see the sights, or get out on the water with kayaking, canoeing, and sailing.
Cartmel village
Take a trip to the beautiful ancient Lakeland village of Cartmel and explore its rich heritage. Don’t miss the chance to visit the 12th-century Priory Church of St. Mary and St. Michael, with its stunning stained glass windows. Other places of note include Cartmel Racecourse and an artisanal cheese shop.
Lakeside Railway
Take a nostalgic journey through a scenic Cumbria countryside setting with a steam train trip on the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway.
