Perfect for birdwatchers, dog owners or anyone else who loves oceanside walks, Sea Holly Cottage is situated a short distance from the centre of the coastal village of Thornham. Stylish, light and airy it has a fully-enclosed garden too.
Sea Holly Cottage is one of our most popular properties, particularly with walkers and bird watchers. Stylish, with a south-facing aspect, the cottage is situated just off the North Norfolk Coastal path making it the perfect location for a short break or longer stay. It's central location provides easy access to all the local amenities and pubs and restaurants, which are so abundant in this pretty village.
Boasting superb views across the marsh to the famous coal barn, It has been thoughtfully and carefully designed to maximise light and space whilst offering stylish and comfortable accommodation with some unique pieces of furniture.
Offering spacious open-plan living to the ground floor with wooden flooring throughout, a comfortable sitting area with contemporary wood burning stove, dining area, comprehensive range of kitchen units, cloak room and utility room. It also has a custom-designed staircase leading to the first floor where all the rooms have vaulted ceilings and tongue and groove panelling, giving it a lovely seaside feel. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room and there is a family bathroom.
There is ample parking and the rear garden is fully-enclosed, with a wall and attractive willow fencing, and is therefore safe for children and dogs.
Please note: This cottage is designed to accommodate six guests only and as such the owners request that it is not used by larger parties by booking Sea Holly in conjunction with neighbouring Wigeon.
Thornham is an old smuggling village right on the North Norfolk Coast. Wide expanses of salt marsh separate the village from the sea and it is a paradise for walkers and bird watchers. There are several great places to eat including The Village Deli,selling all manner of local produce and great coffee, The Lifeboat Inn, an old smuggling haunt complete with heavy beams and roaring fires, The Orange Tree a gastro pub and The Coach House selling pizza and pasta. The beach, reached by a walk over the sea defence over the salt marshes, is stunning and you will be rewarded by peace and quiet!
Open-plan living space
The house has been stylishly designed throughout giving a tasteful blend of contemporary and traditional furnishings with some lovely quirky touches. The ground floor is largely open plan with a triple aspect, wooden flooring throughout and under floor heating.
Sitting area: this is a comfortable and cosy area which enjoys fabulous views across the marshes and there is ample seating with soft leather sofas and arm chairs surrounding the contemporary wood burning stove. There is a flat screen TV with Freeview, a DVD player and a large cupboard with a great selection of books, games and DVDs for colder days.
The kitchen area
This is a lovely roomy area with a well equipped range of units with Earthstone worktops, a ceramic sink and integrated dishwasher, fridge and separate freezer. There is a range cooker and microwave oven and grill and a selection of cookery books making holiday catering a delight.
The dining area has an amazing old pine, curved settle around a large oval table offering plenty of seating and providing a really unusual space to enjoy long lazy meals.
Plenty of coat hooks and space for wellies and wet dogs. There is a door to the rear garden.

There is a large area of terrace with garden table and chairs and it is fully enclosed and safe for children and pets. There is a lovely corner pagoda to enjoy the evening sunshine or perhaps a barbecue and there is outside lighting.
To the front of the property there is off road parking for three cars and a side gate to the rear garden.
