This attractive Victorian cottage is situated in the village of Snettisham, which is close to Norfolk's west coast as well as several RSPB Nature Reserves, and is just around five miles from the popular seaside town of Hunstanton. It's perfect for anyone looking to immerse themselves in nature or just enjoy a peaceful break away from everyday life.
With room for up to 4 guests, Providence Cottage is a mid-terrace Victorian property which is sure to charm you with the many appealing traditional features that have been retained throughout. It's conveniently close to local shops and pubs, and there are plenty of pretty countryside walks nearby. It makes a great base for visiting the RSPB Nature Reserves at Snettisham and Titchwell, and is just five minutes’ drive from the beach.
Children will love the summerhouse, where they will find plenty of garden toys to keep them entertained.
Providence Cottage is a great base from which to explore the beautiful beaches and many attractions of North West Norfolk - the RSPB Nature Reserves at Snettisham and Titchwell are close by, the Queen's residence at Sandringham House is only a short drive away and children will enjoy spending a day at Snettisham Park, a working farm on the outskirts of the village.There are two pubs in the village, one is the award-winning gastro pub The Rose and Crown, as well as a shop, tea room and restaurant.
Cosy sitting room with two sofas, cupboards to recess with lamps and mirrors either side of the open fire. TV with built in DVD player, separate CD player with IPhone docking station, bookcases with a wide range of books and local information, selection of games and DVDs. A door leads through to the kitchen/diner.
A lovely Shaker-style kitchen with original Norfolk pamment-tiled floor. Belfast sink and mixer taps, electric oven and gas hob with extractor over, slimline dishwasher, microwave and freezer in kitchen dresser, fridge in the larder cupboard. Light floods in through the partially glazed roof and French doors leading directly onto the garden. A long table with six chairs is ideal for breakfast and dinner with the family.
A latch door leads off the kitchen with an original internal window. Containing a washing machine, ironing board, high chair and boiler, with ‘Sheila Maid’ for drying washing. Another latch door leads from the kitchen to the family bathroom.
Spacious bathroom with white suite comprising pedestal wash hand basin, WC, bath with hand-held shower attachment and window with blind. There is a heated towel rail and tongue-and-groove panelled walls.
A Victorian boxed-in staircase winds up to the first floor with double handrails and stairgate at the top of the stairs.
Double cast-iron bed with bedside tables with lamps, chest-of-drawers, hanging rail, original cast-iron fireplace (not in use) and sash window to the rear, overlooking the cottage garden.
Twin full size 3ft beds, bedside table with lamp, wardrobe, chest of drawers, windows to the front with blackout blinds. Travel cot available for use.
Double french doors lead onto the rear cottage garden, mainly laid to lawn with laburnum and lilac tree and a variety of shrubs and flowers. There is a play house at the bottom of the garden, great for children and dog-friendly too!
There is space at the front of the cottage for a small estate car, however there is not a dropped kerb therefore alternative on-street parking is available nearby.

Norfolk is dotted with many delightful market towns which are well worth a visit, many situated along the coast and all with their own unique charm. Any one of them is worth exploring and discovering for yourself, but particular favourites include Burnham Market with its boutique clothing shops, and Aylsham, which offers a rich heritage and a peaceful pace of living.
