This superb cottage with views over the local parkland, sleeping up to 6 people, is situated in the peaceful and picturesque north-west Norfolk village of Docking, not far from the coast and around 7 miles from the seaside town of Hunstanton.
Marigold Cottage has been thoroughly refurbished to ensure a comfortable and convenient stay, but it hasn't lost the ample traditional charms that grant it a truly welcoming ambience.
The kitchen/diner is open-plan, with a stable door leading to the enclosed rear garden. There is a wonderful fireplace in the sitting room with large comfy sofas.The bathroom has a luxury roll-top bath - perfect for relaxing those muscles after a long walk on one of the many stunning local beaches - Old Hunstanton, Brancaster and Holkham, to name but a few, are just a short drive away. For angling enthusiasts,there is a fishing lake just five minutes walk away.
Docking is a large friendly village with an excellent local shop with late opening hours a great family pub, The Railway and a fish and chip shop. Situated just 5 miles from the coast it is ideally situated to access the West of Norfolk (Norfolk Lavender, Sandringham etc) and the heart of the North Norfolk Coast (Brancaster, Wells, Burnham Market etc)
The ground floor is predominantly open-plan from the sitting room to the kitchen/diner. The sitting room is a lovely triple aspect room with oak style flooring and French doors that lead onto the garden. There are two large comfy sofas and wonderful fireplace with log burner. You can enjoy a film on the TV with Freeview or a DVD in front of the cosy fire. (There is a fire guard for use under the stairs).
The dining area and kitchen are partially open-plan to the sitting room and stairs lead to the first floor bedrooms and bathroom.
A great double aspect room with dining area to the front and table and six chairs seating six people. The shaker style kitchen is well equipped and has wooden work tops, central island and Belfast sink with mixer tap. There is a free standing Range master cooker with 5 ring gas hob, oven and grill and all the appliances you could possibly need including fridge/freezer (70/30), dishwasher, washing machine, kettle and toaster. A stable door leads onto the enclosed rear garden.
Window the rear overlooks the garden and latch doors lead to the bedrooms and family bathroom.
A light and airy room with exposed floor boards and King size bed with bedside chests and lamps with over bed wall lighting and DAB radio. Plenty of space and room for travel cot and built-in triple wardrobe and wall mounted full height mirror.

The rear garden is fully enclosed, mainly shingled and has a variety of climbing plants and shrubs. There is a raised decked area with bistro table and four chairs, ideal for 'al-fresco' dining, there is also a washing line.
The front garden is mainly laid to lawn with a central path with steps leading to the front door. A large rustic style porch gives shelter from all of the elements with curved bench seating, an ideal place to sit and contemplate.
Parking is available at the side of Marigold Cottage with space for 3-4 cars. Please do not obstruct the access at the front of the Cottage to neighbouring properties.

Norfolk is dotted with many delightful market towns which are well worth a visit, many situated along the coast and all with their own unique charm. Any one of them is worth exploring and discovering for yourself, but particular favourites include Burnham Market with its boutique clothing shops, and Aylsham, which offers a rich heritage and a peaceful pace of living.
