It also has a number of restaurants and cafes serving local food. Leo’s Deli has delicious sausage rolls or try the baklava for a tasty sweet treat. You can watch the world go by in the market square while having some lunch at The Dancing Goat.
Saxmundham is a 10-minute drive towards the coast and has two supermarkets although there are a number of farm shops in the area providing seasonal produce. Garnett’s in Hacheston and Friday Street Farm Shop are both worth a visit.
There are a number of pubs in the neighbouring villages of Rendham, Badingham and Great Glemham if you don't fancy cooking. These offer excellent food and are dog friendly and for the more adventurous are walkable or easily within biking distance.
It is a short drive over to the Heritage Coast (approximately 20 minutes) where you can explore the Victorian seaside towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold. Or head to the wide open spaces of the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which presents lots of wildlife and bird watching opportunities.
Further afield, Woodbridge is home to a working tide mill and Sutton Hoo, the Anglo-Saxon Royal Burial ground is just outside the town.
Church View is a great place to base yourself for a short break or a week, whether you want to walk, visit the historic sites in the area, head to the beach or simply relax in the very peaceful surroundings with the wonderful views and wildlife on offer. With the dark skies there is even the opportunity for some star gazing. You are sure to feel an awful lot more relaxed when you head home than when you arrived.
