Our re-assurance for guests.
 
We just wanted to reassure all our guests that our aim is always to make sure your stay is the best experience it can be and doing so we want our guests to remain in peak condition with your health and safety being of the highest priority.
 
To assure you of our ongoing commitment to you as our guests, we wanted to share what we are doing to put you first:
 
- Here at Sandford Country Cottages we have very high cleaning standards which have always been a core value of our business. However, we have intensified our efforts at every level with deep cleaning, steam cleaning and sanitising of all common touch points to ensure the very best and safest experience for all our guests during their stay. Hand sanitising stations are available and our dedicated staff have been briefed to ensure our continued high standards are upheld.
 
- All our properties are separate and self-contained self- catering accommodation offering guests privacy with no guest interaction while you stay (unless you request it for anything).
 
- You can stay without seeing anyone other than your family if you choose and you can contact us by email during your stay or by telephone should you require assistance with anything.
 
- We have temporarily closed the reception area at our business, our guests go direct to the properties for the quickest and private relax. On arrival we will leave the key in the door for you, and on departure you just depart leaving the key in the door.
 
- At Sandford Country Cottage we will do everything we can to care for our amazing guests and valued team. The nature of our businesses is in providing a safe, private sanctuary for couples & families who wish to spend time together. We will continue to be reactive to health and government guidelines and assist you with your stay at Sandford Country Cottages

Cancellation Policy

We have partnered with Master Cancel to offer a very attractive cancellation policy for all new bookings from 19th March 2020. This policy means that guests can cancel for free for any reason up until 2 days before check in date for a full refund. This is a very attractive proposition especially in the current climate and is provided at no cost on all new bookings from 19th March 2020.


Terms & Conditions

Changeover days for weekly stays are normally on Fridays or Saturdays although we do aim to be flexible if possible. Changeover days for three-night weekend or four-night midweek breaks are normally on Mondays and Fridays. These are priced on a per property basis.

Short breaks may be available at short notice for a minimum of three nights (two nights in low season).

Your cottage / apartment will be ready for you by 4.00 pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated not later than 10.00 am on the day of departure to allow us to have the cottage ready for the next guests. Early arrival and later departure are by prior arrangement only.

The stated maximum occupancy of each property must not be exceeded. 4 in Baillie Scott & Valentines and 6 in Lady Bluebell, The Giddy Limit and The Coach House and 2 in Red Squirrel. The properties are for the use of the guests that have booked, visitors are allowed on a daily basis (within reason) but must not stay overnight.

Our prices include electricity, all bed linen, towels (full towel change half way through a 7 day stay) and free superfast WiFi. A small supply of toilet rolls, cleaning cloths, tea towels, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid are provided along with a starter pack of grocery provisions.

A 30% deposit is required on booking, the balance being due no less that 60 days before arrival. Bookings made within 60 days of arrival should be paid in full at the time of booking.

For card payments we retain a security deposit and for other types of payment we request a good housekeeping deposit which is due on payment and will be refunded on departure if the property is left clean, tidy and in good order.

At the time of booking a short break, you will be given the name of the property reserved for you. However, the owners reserve the right to move you to another property with the guarantee that it will be of the same size or larger.

Cancellation policy - For holidays booked before 19th March 2020

In the event that you have to cancel, every effort will be made by us to re-let the property, but if this is unsuccessful the balance will be payable. Holiday cancellation insurance is, therefore, strongly recommended.

If you cancel 61 or more days before check in date we will refund any deposit paid towards your booking.

If you cancel between 60 days and 2 days before the check in date, you will receive a full refund. This will be reimbursed at the check in date of the original booking.

If you cancel one day before check in date or on the day of check in, you will not be reimbursed under any circumstances.

A bed settee can be provided at an extra charge of £25 including linen and towels. We can supply a high chair at a cost of £10 per week or £2 per day.

We allow one or two small, well-behaved dogs in Lady Bluebell but pets are not allowed in Baillie Scott, Valentines, The Giddy Limit, The Coach House or Red Squirrel. Please let us know before booking. There is a charge for dogs of £25 per stay and £10 per additional dog. They must not be left in the house unattended and must be kept on a lead at all times in the grounds. Dogs are also not permitted in any of the bedrooms or on any of the furniture.
