Loch Lomond Terms and Conditions

Access to Lodges

The guest shall allow the Proprietor entry to the properties for all reasonable purposes.

Arrival & Check in Times 

All lodges are available from 4.00 p.m. on day of arrival until 10.00a.m. on day of departure (The Company reserves the right to charge for an additional days hire for unauthorised departures after this time). Arrivals later than 6.00 p.m. by arrangement only and guests are asked to telephone in advance in case of unavoidable delays so that they can be informed of security arrangements for collecting their keys.

Reservations & Cancellations

A reservation only becomes confirmed when the deposit is received. The balance is due 8 weeks prior to arrival date. Late availability holidays must be paid in full to secure a booking. Once the deposit is paid the guest is responsible for the full rental cost even if you subsequently cancel. Every effort will be made to re-let the vacancy. If we can do so we will then refund you the amount we receive less a £50 administration cost. (The resale price may be less than you paid. The more notice we get the more likely we can resell your holiday at a comparable price.)

The booking will be deemed cancelled if the balance of the payment is not received 8 weeks prior to the arrival date. 

We strongly recommend that guests take out their own cancellation insurance cover.

Security Deposits

We will require a security deposit of £200 to be held against your card on arrival. The amount held will be released within one week but usually the day after departure.

Caravans Camping & Fires

Caravans and boats may be parked in our car park if we are given prior notification but they are not normally allowed in lodge parking spaces. Unfortunately tents cannot be erected on any part of the site and with the exception of BBQ’s no fires may be lit.

Car Parking

Parking for two cars per booking is free. With the exception of lodges 1 and 4 two nearby spaces are included in the cost of your stay. For lodges 1 and 4 the second space is in the nearby general car park.

Cleaning and Damages

We require that all lodges should be left in a clean and tidy condition and that should any items be accidentally broken or damaged that you notify the Proprietors. The proprietors reserve the right to deduct the cost of making good damages or for excessive cleaning from the hirer’s credit/debit card account after departure. If a party uses more than one lodge they are expected to ensure that each lodge has the correct inventory on departure. A £100 security deposit will be held on your card from the day of arrival for up to 14 days after departure.

Complaints

Should any aspect of your stay give cause for complaint the matter must be addressed with the Management immediately so that prompt resolution or restitution can be made. If the Office is unmanned then contact details for the Duty Manager are displayed by the office door. We will not consider recompense for matters raised retrospective to the period of stay.

Contract

A contract exists between us once we receive your deposit payment and you receive a booking confirmation letter by post or by email. Online booking summaries are automatically generated and do not constitute confirmation of a reservation by themselves. The hirer’s name will be on the booking form and they agree to take full responsibility for all members of their party and for ensuring that they all adhere to the Terms and Conditions. When the hirer is not present for the stay a Responsible Person must be nominated. They must be over 21 years old. The names, addresses and ages of all members of the party must be shared with the Management on request.

Disclaimer

If for operational reasons or circumstances not within our control the lodge you booked cannot be made available to you we will try to make another lodge available and will refund any price difference if appropriate. If we upgrade you there will be no surcharge for a more expensive lodge. However, if we are unable to make another lodge available and we have to cancel your stay then the deposit and balance will be refunded in full and you will have no claim against the Company. The Company reserves the right to alter or amend the lodge, its facilities and other amenities offered without prior notice.

Exclusions

The Proprietors reserve the right to refuse admission or require the immediate departure of persons or pets that in the opinion of the Proprietor is/are not suitable to take charge or are causing a disturbance or nuisance. In the event of termination of a let a refund of any un-expired portion of rent will be made.

Pets

Cats and dogs only are welcome at the Manager’s discretion in certain designated lodges with the following provisos:

  • We are notified at the time of booking
  •  No more than two cats or dogs are brought
  • Their own bedding is provided by the guest
  • Pets are quiet, well behaved and never left unattended in the lodge or grounds
  • Pets are prevented from accessing bedrooms.

An additional cleaning charge of £35 for one pet and £50 for two pets will be added to your bill.

Caravans, Camping and Fires

Occupancy

The number of people occupying the hired lodge must not exceed numbers stated on booking.

Use of Accommodation

The hired property shall be used solely for holiday purposes and the Hirer shall not sub-let the property or any equipment hired to the Hirer. Lodges may not be used for parties or gatherings, whether planned or impromptu, involving more than the insured capacity of each lodge (six). We have a private function room and bar that can often be made available to groups by prior arrangement.

Hot tubs and Quiet Enjoyment

The rights of other guests and local residents must be respected at all times. Therefore no music is to be audible outside the lodge and tubs must be vacated by 11.00 pm. Repeated misuse of the tubs may result in them being emptied. Hirers are expected to familiarise themselves with the separate Hot tub Safety rules. A printed copy is displayed is each lodge. Repeated misuse of the tubs may result in the hot tub being emptied and taken out of use for the duration of the guests stay.

Guest Property

No liability is accepted by Loch Lomond Leisure Limited for loss or damage to hired or passenger’s property, baggage, motor car etc. however caused nor for any accident or mishap to persons whilst on the premises. The Proprietor reserves the right to refuse admission of persons or pets that in the opinion of the Proprietor is/are not suitable to take charge or are causing a disturbance or nuisance which may upset the peace and tranquillity of other holiday makers. In the event of termination of a let a refund of any un-expired portion of rent will be made.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted in any of our lodges. 

Hen and Stag Party Bookings 

We regret that we cannot accept bookings which are, or which we deem to be, hen or stag parties.
