1. Snowdonia National Park is a stunning and diverse natural landscape covering over 800 square metres of mountains, hills and lakes. Take the mountain footpath up Snowdon, which can take a few hours (around 3-4 hours to go up and come back down for a person with mid-level fitness) or take the more leisurely train which takes 1 hour in total (30 minutes to go up and 30 minutes to come back down again).

Portmeirion is a magical and uniquely designed picturesque village on the coast at Gwynedd surrounded by woodland and quirky and unusual gardens and architectural sculptures and curiosities. Built in the Italian style in the 1920s, it is a pretty place to stroll leisurely around or take the marked walking trail, and provides an interesting backdrop with a giant chess board for amazing photo opportunities. Portmeirion was the filming location of the surreal 1960s spy drama, The Prisoner and the gift shop is filled with souvenirs.
