Just a stroll away, are two excellent pubs – The Ancient Mariners and The Lodge Hotel - and, for a special occasion, there is the much acclaimed Michelin-starred Neptune Restaurant, all within easy walking distance. Enjoy an early morning wander down the quiet lane and across the golf course to beautiful Hunstanton beach. With its soft sand dunes and marram grass, beach huts and excellent beach cafe- you can have breakfast overlooking the sea whilst the children wander around the lifeboat station when open. You can literally spend the day on the beach and retire to Levante at the end of a busy day. Why not consider renting a beach hut through Norfolk Hideaways to extend your time on the beach and enhance your holiday? Head to the village shop/post office where you can buy groceries and warm croissants on a morning, before planning your day on the beach or further afield along the coast. With the Victorian seaside town of Hunstanton only a short walk/drive away and Brancaster and Burnham Market just a short drive too, you are perfectly located to explore the best of what North Norfolk has to offer.
Old Hunstanton is a rarity along the North Norfolk coast in that you can get very close to the beach without walking a long way over the salt marshes!
Miles of sand, gentle sand dunes and beach huts make this a perfect family seaside holiday destination.
For the more active Old Hunstanton has become a mecca for Kite Surfing.
Hunstanton Golf Course, a challenging links course is voted amongst the top 100 courses in Britain.
There are great places to eat, all within walking distance of our holiday cottages, including The Neptune a Michelin Star restaurant, The Lodge Hotel and a lovely traditional beach cafe serving a good fry up!
The lifeboat station is a good place to visit and maybe see in action. The hovercraft being launched is a sight wellworth seeing!

At the rear of the house is a private landscaped garden which is mainly decked with steps down to a lower decked area and planted shrub beds. This faces west and so is a lovely spot to enjoy the evening sunshine and Hunstanton's famous sunsets over the water. Perfect for dining alfresco with garden furniture and a barbecue.
Just outside the entrance to Levante is a little lane leading down to the sandy beach at Old Hunstanton. There is public access across the golf course onto the sand dunes and to the beautiful sandy beach beyond.
Peacefully tucked away down a no-through lane with a large shingled front drive with plenty of space for parking.

What can I do?
Norfolk is dotted with many delightful market towns which are well worth a visit, many situated along the coast and all with their own unique charm. Any one of them is worth exploring and discovering for yourself, but particular favourites include Burnham Market with its boutique clothing shops, and Aylsham, which offers a rich heritage and a peaceful pace of living.
