Close to the west coast of Norfolk and about five miles from the popular resort town of Hunstanton, Snettisham is a delightful village next to a seaside RSPB reserve. Lambert Cottage is a traditional Norfolk Carrstone cottage which makes an ideal retreat for two, offering a comfortable and inviting escape in this welcoming location.
Originally serving as part of the local shopkeepers' cottages, this superb holiday property offers comfortable accommodation with a touch of tradition.
The cottage has a bright and open-plan feel and would make a perfect romantic getaway; such a lovely place for a couple to watch the amazing sunsets on the local beaches of Snettisham and Heacham.
The village of Snettisham has lots of local amenities with shops, cafes and a great gastro pub, all within easy walking distance of the cottage.
Snettisham is a delightful, coastal village to the south of Hunstanton. Home to the RSPB reserve on the coast of The Wash where many migratory birds descend during the winter months and the skeins of geese honking and clattering is one of the iconic Norfolk sights and sounds.
Snettisham has a great pub, with good food and an enclosed garden including a childrens adventure play area.
The village is well served with amenities including a chemist, local shop, hairdresser and second hand book shop, perfect for browsing away a couple of hours! There is a Bistro style restaurant on the market square where you can take your own wine at no extra charge.
For the children, Park Farm is a lovely place to visit, with hands on experiences including a Deer safari on a tractor to see the herd of Red Deer roaming about.
You are perfectly placed for the coast, Snettisham has it's own beach just two miles from the centre of the village, Hunstanton is a five minute drive and Brancaster a 15 minute drive. Sandringham, the Norfolk home to The Queen, is just 10 minutes away.
Open-plan living area
The modern country cottage style seating with comfy sofa and chair and decorative cast iron fireplace creates a light and spacious atmosphere. There is an above mantle flatscreen television and separate DVD player.
Featuring a decorative bread oven, the kitchen is well equipped with larder fridge, microwave and has a porcelain sink and electric oven. The large french doors let in the light making this a lovely place to sit, eat and prepare a meal.
Stairs lead to a small landing area, built-in cupboard with iron, ironing board and vacuum
With a king-size painted wrought iron bedstead with brass bed knobs. Double glass doors lead to the en-suite.
Featuring a roll top bath which stands central in the room. The bathroom also includes a walk-in shower cubicle with mains shower, WC and wash basin.
The garden and driveway are both shared with the neighbouring property, the front garden is not enclosed. There is a pleasant seating area to the front for visitors to sit and enjoy the morning sunshine along with a small shingled courtyard area to the rear of the kitchen/living area; accessed through the large double french doors. There is also a barbecue and small box hedge boarders.
Two well behaved dogs are welcome (small additional charge).
