Fridays Barn is a perfect holiday destination for a family looking for a seaside break, with a prime location in the coastal Norfolk village of Salthouse. Spectacular views can be enjoyed across the dunes to the sea out the front of the house, and the back opens on to unspoilt countryside.
Beautifully renovated, the barn has extremely bright and spacious family accommodation with the lovely open-plan kitchen/dining room being the heart of the house.
The entire ground floor boasts lovely open views to the coast and the rear of the property has a completely enclosed garden with lawn and patio with garden furniture and barbecue
Salthouse is a picturesque village located on the North Norfolk Coast just north of the small market town of Holt, and just east of Blakeney and Cley.
The village is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and overlooks the salt marshes next to the Norfolk Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve at Cley.
Clustered around the village green are pretty cottages, a pub with a large front garden that looks directly over the salt marsh, Cookies Crab Shop offering platters of seafood, salads, sandwiches and ice cream.
East of the village, past the village pond, is a cottage where you can buy Fish & Chips during the summer months.
The magnificent church of Salthouse holds regular art exhibitions and concerts throughout the year.
A new shop has recently opened called 'The Old Post Office' selling local produce including beef from the cattle grazed on the marsh.
The beach is mainly pebble and shingle, but unlike other parts of the Norfolk coast, the tide does not go out very far.

Wonderful light spacious room, tastefully decorated and furnished, solid oak flooring and windows to both front and rear of the property. Large dining table seating eight and a two seater sofa, large Welsh style dresser, selection of children's books & games and high chair.
Well equipped kitchen with granite worktop, integrated induction hob, fan assisted oven with grill, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee maker and iPod docking station.
Another bright room with triple aspect windows. Comfortable three seater & two seater sofa, an open fire, flatscreen television with Freeview and Sky channels and a DVD player.
To the other side of the kitchen is a small corridor leading to

Large walk-in shower with rainfall shower head, WC, wash basin and heated towel rail (recess containing washing machine).
Bedroom in the eaves with a double bed and dormer window to the rear of the property. The sloping ceilings in this room will require guests to bend slightly to get into bed.
Twin full-size single beds. A selection of books and games and dormer window to the rear of the property. There is a door at the end of this room leading to final double bedroom.

What can I do?
Norfolk is dotted with many delightful market towns which are well worth a visit, many situated along the coast and all with their own unique charm. Any one of them is worth exploring and discovering for yourself, but particular favourites include Burnham Market with its boutique clothing shops, and Aylsham, which offers a rich heritage and a peaceful pace of living.
