Field Row, Field Dalling, nr Holt, Norfolk
Field Dalling (near Holt), Norfolk
Close to the North Norfolk coast and around 5 miles from the bustling market town of Holt, Field Dalling is the superb little village where you'll find Field Row. Once a row of three farm cottages, this property has been sympathetically converted into a single spacious property sleeping up to 6, offering traditional charm and tranquil surroundings.
Located in the peaceful, postcard-perfect village of Field Dalling, Field Row offers an ideal blend of traditional features and modern conveniences, having once been three separate farm cottages which have now been carefully converted into a single roomy detached property.
Many original features have been retained, which seamlessly blend with contemporary fixtures and fittings, including an amazing galleried landing overlooking the living and kitchen/breakfast room, the focal point being the vast inglenook fireplace and double height vaulted ceiling.
From the moment you arrive at the property and set foot inside the traditional Norfolk cottage style entrance hall you cannot help but feel relaxed. A cosy beamed sitting room with oak flooring and cottage-style windows with shutters leads off the entrance hall. Stylishly decorated and furnished with comfy sofas set around a wood burning stove with a fabulous surround. All of the bedrooms have high vaulted ceilings. The open-plan living area is the real 'hub' and a wonderful space for families and friends to enjoy spending time together. All the windows have hand crafted shutters and overlook the patio and mature cottage gardens beyond. The bright hand-built kitchen has shaker style fitted units, a double Belfast sink and Aga. There is a large farmhouse table with seating for up to ten people, ideal for family meals and a friends 'get together'.
Field Row is perfect for families and ideal for friends, but also a rather romantic spot for a couple or two, who are looking for a beautiful, peaceful location with lots of space to spread out, both indoors and out. The cottage is a great base from which to explore this wonderful part of North Norfolk, having easy access to both coastal and rural delights.
Field Dalling is one of those 'tucked away' pretty North Norfolk villages that you may not have heard of, but it is just three miles inland from the coast at Morston, and four miles from the coastal village of Blakeney and the Georgian market town of Holt.
Seal trips leave from Morston Quay on most days of the year, and here you will also find the critically acclaimed Anchor Pub and the Michelin starred Morston Hall hotel and restaurant.
A little further on is the popular village of Blakeney with a great choice of pubs, restaurants, cafes, shops and a renowned deli.
There is some fabulous coastal and rural walking to be found in this area.
It's a popular location for birdwatchers, and cyclists will enjoy exploring the meandering village lanes.
