Creek Cottage, Wells-next-the-Sea, Norfolk
This characterful coastal cottage boasts superb views of the quayside in the harbour town of Wells-next-the-Sea on the North Norfolk coast, making it the ultimate seaside getaway for up to 4 guests.
This gorgeous little cottage is situated in a superb location in Wells-next-the-Sea, with a fantastic view across the quay that makes it a real rarity in this popular port town.
Situated at the far end of Wells harbour, this lovely character cottage enjoys fabulous views from both the kitchen and master bedroom across the Quay towards the marsh and sea beyond. Refurbished in 2018, Creek Cottage has been sympathetically updated and furnished in a low key relaxing style with comfort foremost in mind. There are two bedrooms (double and twin) on the first floor, along with a shower room. Down the Norfolk winder stairs on the ground floor is a well-equipped dining kitchen, cosy sitting room and a further bathroom. Outside is a small courtyard garden with seating. Perfect for enjoying a relaxing glass of wine or two at the end of a busy day. This bijou cottage is a true delight and is sure to be a very popular holiday choice for families, couples and friends.
At full tide the harbour comes alive with fishing boats unloading their catch and local sailors setting out and returning from a day's sailing. Step out of the front door of Creek Cottage and you are just a two minute walk from the heart of this popular seaside town - Staithe Street, with its eclectic mix of cafes, restaurants and independent shops to browse selling absolutely everything. If you have left something behind, worry not, you will find it here and when you want to eat out, you are spoilt for choice with eateries to choose from.
Wells-next-the-Sea is one of North Norfolk’s popular coastal destinations, offering visitors a wide variety of ways to while away the hours either exploring the vast beach or the town. Formerly a major port for the export of grain, its harbour is now used by smaller craft offering fishing cruises and boat tours. The Albatross, found on the Quay, is a former Dutch cargo ship built in 1899 as a North Sea clipper. One of the oldest sailing ships still afloat, instead of sailing the high seas, she is now permanently moored alongside the Quay and used as a bar, restaurant, music venue and B&B.
With a window overlooking the Quay, electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer and fridge with ice box. There is a dining table with seating for four.
A cosy room with a gas 'stove', wide screen Smart television with built-in DVD player and Netflix available for account holders.
With wash basin and WC.
With bath, overhead shower with rainfall shower head and separate handheld shower and wash basin.
From the Sitting Room steep Norfolk winder stairs (there is a door at the bottom and stairgate at the top of the stairs) lead to:
With full-size single beds.
The room with a view! With a double bed and french doors that open and offer wonderful far reaching views across the Quay to the marsh and sea.
With shower cubicle, wash basin and WC.
There is a small east facing courtyard garden with bistro table and seating.
Parking is available either within the adjoining garage (though this is very narrow) or immediately outside the garage. If you have a larger car you can raise the garage door and park the front of the car inside the garage. NB: Parked cars must not overlap the pavement, as this could incur a fine. There is alternative roadside parking close by or a pay and display car park.
