1 Honeymoon Row, Wells-next-the-Sea, Norfolk
This 300-year-old end-terrace cottage is based in a wonderfully secluded locale within the popular seaside destination of Wells-next-the-Sea on the North Norfolk coast, the ideal oceanfront escape.
If you're looking for a seaside getaway, why not try 1 Honeymoon Row, a splendid 3-century-old cottage based in the popular port town of Wells-next-the-Sea? Just a few minutes' walk from the Quayside and heart of the town, this property has been recently refurbished and is stylish and charming.
Originally a warehouse, Honeymoon Row was used as a temporary home to the Fisher Theatre Company at the turn of the 18/19th century. The gentle incline of the Row suggests that No. 1 was used as the stage area. By 1816 the building had been converted into a row of terraced cottages.
Tastefully extended and refurbished in 2017-2018, this delightful character cottage now has full central heating and double glazing, as well as a newly fitted dining kitchen overlooking the garden. The sitting room is cosy and comfortable, with a large gas 'stove', and just invites relaxation at the end of an active day out and about exploring. Steep Norfolk winder stairs (there is a twisted grab rail top to bottom) lead to the first floor with two bedrooms, both of which have comfy double beds and a smart bathroom.
