Kippford Holiday Park, Dalbeattie, Kirkcudbrightshire
Kippford Holiday Park near the sea in Dumfries and Galloway has stunning views over the estuary of the River Urr, the dramatic Galloway Hills and red squirrel woodlands. Views vary according to where your Pinelog Holiday Lodge or Caravan Holiday Home is situated on this peaceful, well maintained and friendly park.
Boasting a David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award, the holiday park is just a 15 minute stroll from the charming seaside village of Kippford with its beautiful sand, shell and pebble beaches and two seaside pubs. Adjacent to the park is a 9 hole golf course, 17km of wonderful off road cycle trails including the “7 Stanes”, and sailing of course from the village.
Wonderful forest and coastal walks start at the park and include the Sandyhills to Rockcliffe Coastal Path, arguably one of the finest in the UK, giving views over the Solway to Cumbria and the Isle of Man 50 miles away!
Those who like fishing will be spoilt for choice, coarse lochs within walking distance and salmon, trout and sea trout on the River Urr that flows through Kippford. All the high quality caravan holiday homes and holiday lodges at Kippford have well-equipped kitchens (including microwave ovens), private barbecue areas and wrap around decks or patios. In addition, the 2 and 3 bedroom holiday lodges have French windows that open onto extensive wrap around decking so that the marvellous views are all around. Red squirrels will often visit your deck if you offer nuts.
