    Castlemartyr dates back to 1210 and the first Earl of Cork built the manor house that is the centrepiece of today’s resort in the 17th Century. Castlemartyr has a very special 18 hole championship inland links golf course designed by Ron Kirby and a magnificent spa and pool. More unusual activities include taking a Hawk Walk and learning to handle a Harris Hawk or a tour in a pony and trap. You could even take the estate’s Irish setters, Countess and Earl, for a walk in the grounds.
