In Scotland and the glorious land of the lochs in Perthshire where you’ll find Strathyre there’s no shortage of water-based activities so close to your own log cabin. The wildlife at Strathyre is rather special too and there’s every chance that, with the guidance of the Forest Ranger, you might spot osprey, roe and red deer, red squirrel and pine marten living close by. The rangers run lots of walks and activities like Dusk Watch, Amazing Animals and Forest Survival too.You could wake up in your log cabin overlooking pine fringed Loch Lubnaig, watched over by towering 3000 foot Ben Ledi or from one nestling close to the tree line. Either way, its woodland living in the heart of the Forestry Commission’s Estate, but without sacrificing any home comforts.

On site facilities at Strathyre include forest trails to walk or cycle, mountain bike hire – including tag-alongs for children – and a kids’ play area.
